About Me | Meet the Maker
Hiya! I'm so glad you're here! I'm Cindy, the person behind The Craft Shoppe Canada.
I've always believed that in the hustle and bustle of life, we need to take a moment for ourselves and ignore the noise. Life is busy. Our phones are constantly buzzing, our to-do lists never seem to end, and there's always (always) an annoying pile of laundry waiting to be folded. One of my favourite ways to tune it all out is to grab a crochet hook, a cross stitch project, some cardstock, or a great book and simply ignore it all.
My crafting journey actually started back in Grade 8. One of our class projects was to sew a small tote bag. I had never touched a sewing machine before, so when I finished and it actually looked like a tote bag (lol), I remember feeling ridiculously proud. I had made something and that feeling has never really left me.
Years later, I discovered card making and completely fell in love with it. Before long, that hobby grew into The Craft Shoppe Canada. Today, I design DIY craft kits and patterns that make it easy to try something new, or simply find an excuse to disappear for an afternoon.
More than anything, I hope each kit gives you a reason to slow down for a little while. To make something just because it's fun. To learn a new skill. To create a handmade gift for someone you love or even keep it for yourself.
My goal is pretty simple: help more people discover (or rediscover) the joy of making something with their own two hands.
I think life is infinitely better that way.
Cindy xx

Cooper, Chief Canine Officer

I'm here to keep Mummy on track during her work day although I do interrupt her regularly for treats and belly rubs. I love barking at dust, protecting our work studio from squirrels and napping.

If you have any questions, just give me a shout. I'm always happy to help...unless we're in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. In that case, I'll be busy figuring out how to defend us with a sewing needle, a ball of yarn, and a teapot cozy.
