What Comes in a Cross Stitch Kit?

What Comes in a Cross Stitch Kit?

Cross stitching is where the cool kids are hanging out. Seriously!

I love watching a bunch of teeny tiny X’s slowly turn into a pattern. It’s the perfect craft to settle in with during the evening or while ignoring life and your never-ending to do list on weekends.

And at the end of it all? You end up with something handmade that can be framed for your wall or wrapped up as a thoughtful gift for someone you love.

That’s exactly why I decided to create my own line of cross stitch kits and patterns! So more people can experience how relaxing and satisfying stitching can be.

When you open one of my cross stitch kits, here’s what you’ll find inside:

Cross Stitch Fabric

Aida cloth is the star of the show. Without it, there would be nowhere for all those tiny stitches to go.

Each kit also includes 100% premium cotton fabric for the backing of your pin cushion/mini pillow project.

Floss | Thread

Inside your kit, you’ll find embroidery floss in all the colours needed for your project. I include full skeins of DMC floss instead of just the amount required, which means you’ll have extra thread left over for future projects or little stitching experiments.

You’ll also find a spool of white sewing thread if you decide to hand sew your project together.

Needles

Every kit includes a cross stitch needle because, well...stitching without one would be a bit ambitious.

You’ll also receive a hand sewing needle for assembling your finished project if needed.

Instructions | Video Tutorial Links

Detailed written instructions with photos are included to guide you through each step of the project.

I also include video tutorial links for visual learners because honestly, I’m one too. Sometimes it’s just easier seeing someone demonstrate a technique rather than trying to decipher written instructions while questioning your life choices.

Why I Love Cross Stitching

One of my favourite things about stitching is gathering a few friends together for a stitching night. A chance to sit, chat, laugh, work on projects, and catch up on life together.

It’s also one of the easiest ways to slow down in a world that constantly feels busy. When you focus on one stitch at a time, everything else gets quiet for a little while.
