My DIY Craft Kits Path
My Craft Kits Path
If you’ve been around since the early days of my little business, you'll probably remember when I was all about mugs, quilts, greeting cards, and stickers. Honestly? I loved putting my creative brain to use and coming up with cute designs and funny sayings. I'm really proud of what I made however, it didn’t quite capture "that" feeling. It started to feel like I was moving away from using my own two hands and getting caught up in what everyone else was doing. Instead of following my own path, I was trying to follow everyone else which, of course wasn't going to work.
So, I spent a lot of time reflecting on how I wanted to shape my business into something that felt truly authentic to me. I thought about what was working, what the market was looking for and if I'm being honest, I kept staring at my yarn stash, feeling pulled to bring crochet into the picture somehow. Was I nervous? Absolutely! But eventually I made the decision to dive into the world of DIY Craft Kits and I dove all the way in.
These days, I spend my time designing greeting cards, crocheting and sewing while scribbling down stitch counts and design ideas. Some of that time is also spent ripping stitches out and starting over again (but we don't need to talk about that - lol). I love that when someone buys a pattern or a complete DIY craft kit, they are working from something that I created with my own two hands. Even better, they are using materials that I've personally chosen and curated for each kit.
The benefits that crafting can bring to your life are endless and it's my mission to get yarn, fabric and card stock into as many hands as possible. Whether it's learning a new craft, sending a kit to a loved one. making handmade gifts for birthdays and holidays or gathering friends for a crafty night in, this is the vision I had when I started travelling down this new path.
If you have picked up a kit, purchased a pattern, liked a post, or simply cheered me on, THANK YOU!!! You are a part of this journey, and I’m so grateful we’re making something handmade together.
