U.S. Shipping Update

U.S. Shipping Update

September 28th - Great news! My card making kits can officially cross the border to the U.S.! After many days of sorting through the new processes and fees, I finally found the right solution! For now, my other craft kits will remain closed to the U.S. since the tariff/duty fees on those items are quite high. If those fees ease up in the future, I’ll gladly revisit shipping options. Stay tuned.

September 25th - Lots of shipping news these days. See below for shipping news updates for both Canada and the U.S.

Canada Post News
Earlier today, Federal Minister Lightbound held a press conference announcing upcoming changes to Canada Post services and operations. The workers’ union isn’t on board and has now called a nationwide strike.

Good news: This does not affect my ability to ship your orders. Since last year’s strike, I’ve been using alternative carriers to ensure packages get where they need to go.

U.S. News
Because of the ongoing tariff situation, I had been considering Canada Post as the best way to get my card making kits across the border keeping duty and tariff charges to a minimum. With this strike, it’s back to the drawing board. For now, shipping to the U.S. remains closed while I explore other solutions.

I’ll keep a close eye on both situations and share updates as soon as I have them. I’m grateful to have access to other carriers as many small businesses don’t, and my heart goes out to them during this disruption.

Please remember to shop Canadian and support small businesses whenever you can. It matters now more than ever!

September 23rd - I'm working behind the scenes to figure out what products I can ship down to the U.S. with as few extra charges as possible.

Right now, my crochet and sewing kits are on pause as the duty/tariff fees are currently very high (41% + shipping, taxes, and brokerage/processing fees). My handmade card kits however, may be able to ship with only a small increase in cost. I'm waiting on final details to confirm.

Until I know more, shipping across the border. will remain closed. If you are visiting my website from the U.S., you will only see products currently available to you.

Stay tuned for more information and thank you for your patience! Xx

August 30th - The removal of the De Minimis exemption, that came into effect yesterday, means that shipping to the U.S. might become more expensive for American citizens. Shipping fees may include a 35% tariff charge, additional duties and any related taxes and processing fees.

On top of that, the level of detail now required in the paperwork to prove the country of origin is extensive. Information of what is needed vs. what isn't is still being sorted out.

While I work out the details and look which products can pass through without extra fees, shipping to the U.S. will remain closed for the time being. Thank you so much for your support and understanding. I will keep everyone updated!

P.S. if you are visiting my site from the U.S., you can still purchase crochet and sewing patterns as they are a digital product.

August 18th: With the order signed on July 30th, the de minimis limit has been revoked, which means any orders shipped from my Shoppe (Canada) to the U.S. may now be subject to duty or tariff charges.

Since the rules and processes are still shifting week by week ranging from what the charges are, which carriers to use, and what paperwork is required, I’ve decided to temporarily pause U.S. physical orders until I have more clarity.

The good news is that digital products are not affected! You can still purchase and instantly download all of my digital craft patterns without interruption.

I will keep this page updated as I receive more information.
