What Comes in a Crochet Kit?
What's Inside a DIY Crochet Kit?
Walk into any yarn shop or craft store and you'll find so many different types of yarn, crochet hook sizes, and patterns to choose from. Trying to figure out what to buy can be a project all on its own! And don't even get me started on trying to choose between 47 shades of blue.
That's one of the reasons I love designing my DIY crochet kits. I get to do the pattern design, planning, and gathering of supplies so you can get straight to the fun part: crocheting!
Depending on the project, your kit will include:
- Yarn in the colours and quantities needed to complete your project
- A crochet hook in the appropriate size
- Additional supplies such as stitch markers and a tapestry needle
- A detailed written crochet pattern
- Access to helpful video tutorials for extra guidance
You'll only need a few everyday items, such as a pair of scissors, a cup of tea and a comfortable place to settle in with your project.
New to Crochet? There's a Kit for You!
My patterns are designed to be beginner-friendly and if you're new to crochet, I can practically hear that sigh of relief. They also include detailed, step by step instructions to guide you through your project. And if you need a little extra help with a stitch or technique, video tutorials are available too.
The best part is that there is no rush! Take your time, and work through the pattern at your own pace.
And if you make a mistake? Well, that's part of learning! I’ve been crocheting for years and I still make mistakes…and properly grumble while ripping them out!
Already Know Your Way Around a Crochet Hook?
You don't have to be a beginner to enjoy a crochet kit!
Sometimes it's just nice to have a project ready to go without spending an hour choosing yarn colours, checking your stash, or making yet another trip to the craft store.
And sometimes, even after years of crocheting, it's nice to work on something different. A new project, a different technique, or just an excuse to put your feet up and spend and afternoon doing something you enjoy.
A Little Time to Make Something Yourself
For me, crochet has always been about more than yarn and a hook.
There's something very necessary about sitting down with fluffy balls of yarn to drown out a bad day or the news of the world.
And, there's nothing better than finishing that last stitch, holding up your work, and wanting to run through your neighbourhood yelling, "Hey, I made this!”
