What's Included in a Card Making Kit?

If you've never seen a card making kit before, you might be wondering, “how does all of this work and what’s included?” 

One of my favourite things about creating DIY card making kits is taking the guesswork out of making handmade greeting cards. I want you to be able to open the box, make yourself a cup of tea (or pour a glass of wine), sit down at your table, and start creating.

Every card making kit includes the supplies you'll need to make each project from start to finish. Inside each box you’ll find:

• Patterned papers and cardstock
• Die cuts and embellishments
• Ribbon or twine (depending on the design)
• “Pop dots” (foam adhesive) and glue dots
• Envelopes
• Detailed written instructions that include photos and a link to a private tutorial video if visual help is needed.

What about tools and equipment?

The only thing you will need is your favourite brand of glue or a double sided tape runner. 

You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on a die-cutting machine, stamps, or a collection of crafting tools to get started. All of the paper pieces are pre-cut, the embellishments are included, and everything is ready for you to assemble.

I've already done the measuring, cutting, and planning (and occasionally arguing with my paper cutter), so you can skip straight to the fun part of making your cards.

What if I have little to no crafting experience?

If you've never made a handmade card before, these kits are a great place to start. The instructions walk you through each card step by step, but if you prefer to watch rather than read instructions, there's a link to a private video tutorial included.

And don't worry about getting everything perfect. I've been making cards for years, and I still occasionally glue something down crooked, upside down or spend ten minutes looking for a piece of paper that's sitting right in front of me.
