What Comes in a Card Making Kit?
What's Included in a Card Making Kit?
If you've never seen a card making kit before, you might be wondering, “how does all of this work and what’s included?” A shoebox full of mystery supplies, a pile of paper and a wish for good luck?
Thankfully...no.
One of my favourite things about creating these DIY card making kits is taking the guesswork out of making handmade greeting cards. I want you to be able to open the box, make yourself a cup of tea (or pour a glass of wine), sit down at your table, and start creating.
Every card making kit includes the supplies you'll need to make each project from start to finish. Inside each box you’ll find:
- Patterned papers and cardstock
- Die cuts and embellishments
- Ribbon or twine (depending on the design)
- “Pop dots” (foam adhesive) and glue dots
- Envelopes
- Detailed written instructions that include photos and a link to a private tutorial video if visual help is needed.
The only thing you'll need to provide is your favourite adhesive. I recommend a good liquid glue or a double-sided tape runner, but if you've already found something you love, stick with it!
No Fancy Equipment Required
These are some of the questions that I get asked the most about my card making kits.
Do I need a die-cutting machine?
Nope.
Do I need stamps?
Nope.
What about fancy crafting tools that cost more than my grocery bill?
Also nope.
Everything is pre-cut and ready to assemble. You don't need expensive equipment or years of crafting experience to create handmade cards.
Perfect for Beginners...and Experienced Card Makers
If you've never made a handmade card before, these kits are a great place to start. The instructions walk you through each card step by step, so you can enjoy the creative process without feeling overwhelmed.
Already an experienced card maker? Many of my customers love using these kits because they can simply sit down and start creating. No planning. No measuring. No digging through overflowing craft supplies looking for that one piece of ribbon they know they bought five years ago.
Ready to Start Creating?
If you've been curious about trying a card making kit, I hope this gives you a better idea of what to expect.
My goal has always been simple: make crafting approachable, relaxing, and fun.
No complicated tools.
No intimidating instructions.
Just a cozy afternoon, a little creativity, and a stack of beautiful handmade cards waiting to be shared.
And when someone asks where you got that beautiful card…
You get to smile and say “I made it”
