Check out the festive fun in the Fall/Christmas section!

Remember when the nurses handed your newborn over to you all cleaned up and swaddled? Life was overwhelming and simple all at the same time. Nurses fussed over feedings, diaper changes and making sure our babies stayed warm in those hours post birth. What they didn't tell us, was how we were going to find the strength to let them go as they head off to University/College.
My eldest is heading off to college next week and pursuing his path in the world of Trades. We are super proud of him in his decision and, he's ready to make his way into the world. Now, we're lucky as he's attending a local program so he'll be staying home while he studies but there is something about that next step. Regardless of whether they move out to a dorm or if they stay home - it's a big step! It also sits heavily on my heart. Did we love him enough? Did we give him enough tools to venture out and make it on his own? My heart truly goes out to all of the parents who are moving their kids into school...and having to say that dreaded goodbye!
I had a Dad reach out to me a month ago to create a Quilt for his daughter as she heads to her post secondary adventure. He wanted a custom design representing school life and the University colours. I had a few "aww" moments as I was thinking about my own heading down his own path.
I am sending a little extra love and lots of hugs to all parents who are in this season right now. It's not easy to let them go but they will always come back!
