Check out the festive fun in the Fall/Christmas section!
August 01, 2021
January was a long, drawn out, crappy kind of month. There I said it! It didn't help that we were in lockdown for the entire month which bled into February.
During a normal year, January is usually a depressing month for me. It comes right after Christmas, it's either cold or grey/raining and, it's just a long month. Throw in a pandemic with a lockdown well, January 2021 was a grey bucket full of blah.
On a brighter note, I finally had some time to tackle the growing pile of fabric that trickled in over the holidays. Given that Christmas was busy busy, I had to ignore that fabric pile for a bit but once the festive season was over, I dove in there like a dirty shirt. In just two months, I created 9 baby/lap sized quilts and 12 table runners. I didn't fully realize how much was being done until a few days ago when I took stock of what I had. The best part of this, is that I still have piles of yardage to dive into, to create adorable new products that I have on my to-do list!
In addition to happily being covered in fabric lint and stray threads, we felt the first signs of spring last week. We had a few warmer days which brought the birds out to sing their songs and, it melted a fair bit of snow. I know we still have awhile to go before spring truly hits but to have a brief glimpse of it was beautiful...
